The Stop Sierra Reflections for Good Coalition is dedicated to the 100% conservation of the 760-acre Sierra Reflections & 224-acre remaining parcels of the St. James Development sites. We deploy tactical legal strategy and regulatory fortitude to defeat high-density development that compromises National Security through "red flag" foreign financing, endangers Public Health by disturbing Mercury-contaminated soil, and desecrates Washoe Tribe sacred grounds. We stand to protect the fiscal and environmental integrity of Washoe and Pleasant Valleys.
We believe in full transparency about how your membership dues are used. Here’s a look at where your contributions go:
Additionally, we’re proud to say that many other costs are subsidized by our generous corporate sponsors, who help offset expenses and keep our membership accessible. Remember, each dollar spent on tickets can be credited toward your membership dues or volunteer hours, giving you the flexibility to contribute in the way that suits you best.
Coalition membership is designed to be accessible, inclusive, and rooted in real participation. We recognize that people contribute in different ways — some have limited time, others have limited funds — and both forms of support are equally valued.
Members may choose one of two membership pathways:
Members may contribute financially to support the Coalition’s work through:
Financial contributions help cover essential operating costs such as website hosting, email services, legal and regulatory filings, public records requests, outreach, and public education.
Members may instead contribute through service by completing:
Volunteer service may include event support, outreach, research assistance, administrative help, creative projects, or other Coalition-related work. Volunteer hours are tracked and recognized as a full and equal form of membership contribution.
Both Financial Members and Volunteer Members hold equal standing within the Coalition.
Membership is based on commitment and participation, not income level.
Members may also combine these pathways if they choose, applying financial contributions or event ticket credits toward dues or volunteer hour requirements.
For those fellow leaders interested in a deeper level of involvement, we welcome dedicated professionals—including retired individuals—who are experts in their fields and have a heart for service. We look for board members who uphold high ethical standards, demonstrate integrity, and treat others with respect. We value individuals who show good judgment and a genuine willingness to serve the community.
This is a non-political, bipartisan coalition, and we seek individuals who can uphold that inclusive spirit.
Board Membership Requirements:
Board members are elected by our members and must be vetted and chosen by the community. We believe in a leadership that is built on trust, respect, and a shared commitment to our coalition’s mission.
