About Stop Sierra Reflections For Good (SSR4GC)

About Our Supporters

Founded in July 2025, our effort officially launched in late October 2025 with the public release of our Change.org petition. Within a matter of days, the petition received over 300 signatures, demonstrating immediate and substantial community support.

Now, over 800 individuals have signed in support of protecting Washoe and Pleasant Valley and opposing the Sierra Reflections development. More than 64% of these supporters live in the directly affected areas, including Washoe Valley, Pleasant Valley, and South Reno, reflecting deep local investment in the outcome of this decision. To date, the petition has received 18,633 views and has been actively shared by 76 promoters, indicating strong grassroots engagement.

Supporters have also chosen to contribute financially through the Change.org platform itself. To date, $1,358 has been contributed specifically to promote the Change.org petition within Change.org, supporting outreach and visibility efforts on that platform.

In addition to public supporters, we are backed by a growing core coalition, currently consisting of approximately a dozen active members, with new members joining weekly. Together, our supporters and coalition members represent residents, families, and stakeholders committed to protecting public health, water resources, open space, and the rural character of this region.

Working With Washoe Tribal Leadership

Our coalition is actively working with Washoe tribal leadership in shared efforts to protect Washoe Valley and surrounding lands. We are grateful for their collaboration, guidance, and consent to work together in support of land protection and responsible stewardship.

The Beat Goes On with Country Music Star Jette Porrazzo

A Nationwide Commitment:

Philanthropy Tied to Entertainment

My  philanthropic work, which began in Tennessee in 2015  and is closely  tied to my entertainment career www.jetteporrazzo.com , has consistently  achieved national  relevance. My efforts have been referenced in major  publications such  as Rolling Stone and Billboard Magazine, confirming  the authenticity  and scope of my impact. Over  the  years, this work has included successful partnerships with major  nonprofit organizations, including; the Susan G. Komen Foundation (https://www.komen.org/ ).  Furthermore, I have earned the respect of one of the country's most  prominent non-profits, one consistently ranked among the highest for  efficiency in giving; I maintain a close, direct working relationship  with the President of the Edward Charles Foundation (https://edwardcharlesfoundation.org/ ) demonstrating a proven commitment to operational effectiveness and  influence at a national level: the President of the Nikki Mitchell  Foundation https://www.nmfcares.org/ if also a respected friend and one heck of a badass chick!

Coming  in 2026; The Pink Country Foundation will operate under the charitable  umbrella  of the Edward Charles Foundation, allowing us to deliver  essential,  multi-faceted support to vulnerable women. This work, which  has been in  development since 2021 following our departure from the  Susan G. Komen  Foundation, will officially launch in the New Year and  will have its own  dedicated website at pinkcountry.org,   which is where we will be able to accept donations exclusively. This  collaborative  structure enables Pink Country to provide need-based  programs for single  females or women who are head of household making  less than $65,000  annually. Programs include housing grants to sponsor  mortgage and rent  for women during cancer treatment, crucial  dermatological  services—including the removal of brands and tattoos for  sex trafficking  survivors—medical alert service animals for single  female recipients of  federal disability benefits, and serving as an  advocate and lobbyist  for the disabled community.

Continuing   this dedication here in Nevada, this current effort to protect the  Washoe & Pleasant Valleys and honor the heritage of this land is a  continuation of  that decade-long commitment to ethical, grassroots  action. This project  operates with the same transparency, dedication,  and platform reach that  has defined my philanthropic efforts since the  beginning. More details will follow, check back for updates.

To be clear: The Stop Sierra Reflections for Good Coalition (SSR4GC) is a Nevada-recognized nonprofit coalition, lawfully operating as an unincorporated nonprofit association.  Under Nevada law, neither the Coalition nor its leadership is required  to obtain federal 501(c)(3) status in order to organize, advocate, or  operate effectively.

My role as Executive Director is lawful, professional, and strategic.

Our Vision For The Land

20 years from now...

Our vision for this land is to return it to the original glory it held before it was greedily clear-cut for the mines and before the native people were pushed off at gunpoint. We see a future where the industrial scars of the mining processing are finally healed, not by a thousand homes and commercial wells and septic tanks, but by the power of reforestation and natural stewardship.

In twenty years, this landscape will have been transformed into a thriving sanctuary covered by a dense canopy of Long Pine trees planted four feet apart. This is not a dark forest, but a living one; the ground beneath the pines will be a lush sea of native pasture grasses and vibrant wildflowers. There is no sagebrush here; instead, the floor is a tapestry of color and life that anchors the soil and stabilizes the legacy of the toxic mill sites.

This reforested landscape will be a dedicated haven for the Black Bear, the Wild Horse, the Red Fox, and the Mountain Sheep. Winding through the pines will be a legacy orchard of apple and cherry trees, alongside thickets of blueberry and blackberry bushes. This forage forest provides a natural and safe abundance for the animals, allowing them to thrive in a habitat that has been restored to its rightful, healthy state.

To sustain this mission, we envision a community engine centered on native honey and native preserves. By utilizing a single, strategic well in the pasture protected by high-standard filtration and a zero-leach infrastructure, we will produce raw honey and organic fruit preserves. This vision honors the history of the land by protecting its future, proving that the ultimate way to fix and help the land is by planting and letting it breathe once again.

Additionally, our native plant nursery will play a vital role in this community engine, providing the very trees and flora needed to restore the valley while helping to fund our ongoing conservation efforts.
